14th Jeonju fest to feature 10 Indian films
10 Indian films, including those in Hindi, Tamil, Malayalam and Bengali, will be screened at the 14th Jeonju International Film festival. The festival commences today in South Korea and will continue till May 5.
The films include Tamil movies “Neerparavai” and “Azhagar Samiyin Kuthirai”. The three Hindi movies are Hansal Mehta’s “Shahid”, Ajay Bahl’s “B.A. Pass” and Ashim Ahluwalia’s “Miss Lovely”. Malayalam film “Color of Sky”, directed by Bijukuma Damodaran and Bengali film “Untitled” by Caesar Das are also part of the list. These films will feature in the Beyond Bollywood section of the fest.
Two other films to be featured in the special category include Manipuri film “Leipaklei” by Aribam Syam Sharma. The Indian documentary “When Hari Got Married”, directed by Ritu Sarin and Tenzing Sonam is also part of this category.
Prashant Nair’s Hindi debut film “Delhi in a Day” will be screened in the category called Cinema Palace.
Canadian film “Foxfire” will open the 14th Jeonju Fest, while Saudi Arabian film “Wadjda” will be the closing film.
