Review~ Avengers: Endgame| A movie that brings all the easter eggs in one basket (No Spoliers)

For fans like myself, the film takes away a piece of our lives that we have pretty much grown to be way too familiar with in our lives. What happens after this, though mostly uncertain apart from 1-2 easter eggs that give rise to new theories, will have a lot of big shoes to fill with a void that can not really be filled again easily.

Vasan’s film is not just a film for the day, it is his homage to the film buffs in all of us who do not shy away from our love for the Genre films. There has not been a better film in Indian cinema that does what Vasan does with Mard Ko Dard Nahi Hota.

Review ~ Kesari | Directed By Anurag Singh, Starring Akshay Kumar, Parineeti Chopra

Kesari in the end is a war film, a true story of the impossible feat made possible by the valour of 21 men of the 36th Sikhs Regiment of the British Indian Army and is made like that with lot of patriotic fervour, war cries, religious swank – Sikh Pride to be precise and all things in between and that’s what makes the film interesting inordinately.

It’s extremely hard to not be influenced by your own politics when writing and creating a film on Kashmir. However, the makers try and bring forth the best and the most accurate and authentic drama on film about what Kashmir has lost in the middle of all things right and wrong and to find a narrative that makes you re-imagine the juxtaposition of two images the world has of the citizens and forces in Kashmir and could there be ways to reach out to everyone and give peace a chance if only for the sake of our children.

Captain Marvel is no wonder woman, but Oscar winner Brie Larson makes a decent film with her performance for her entry in the MCU that will take the franchise forward with better films. It ties the universe together to an extent and will take it forward too, making it an event film before a tent pole event film for the MCU.

In the end, my expectations let me down more than the film in it’s entirety which is vibrant and entertaining in most parts with winning performances. I’ll give it 3 and a 1/2 star.

Watch Manikarnika – The Queen of Jhansi for Kangana’s grit and passion as the Queen of Jhansi if not for a lesson in history in her directorial debut that gives a definite feminine gaze to a war movie.
