Honey Irani heads International Competition jury at 18th ICFFI
Veteran actress Honey Irani heads the International Competition jury of the 18th International Children’s Film Festival of India (ICFFI) to be held in Hyderabad from November 14 -20, 2013. Irani started working as a child artiste and has starred in more than 75 films in various languages in India. She has also written scripts for popular films like Lamhe, Darr, Kaho Naa Pyaar Hai and Koi Mil Gaya.
Other members of the international competition jury are Layali Badr from Egypt, Vibeka Muyasa from Denmark, Siddiq Barmak from Afghanistan and Hou Keming from China.
The International Animation Competition Jury will be headed by Fauzia Minallah from Pakistan. She is an award-winning artist, author, animator, and peace activist. Other jury members for this section are Lotta Geffenblad from Sweden, Stefan Jager from Switzerland, P. Suneel Kumar Reddy from India and Ben Hopkins from Berlin.
The Shorts Competition jury will be headed by Jiri Barta from Czech Republic. He works with three-dimensional animation – puppets and real objects in combination with various techniques and live acting. Some of his works are Pied Piper, In The Attic, The Extinct World Of Gloves, Club Of The Discarded, Yuki Onna. He will be accompanied by Sanjana Kapoor from India, Sannette Naeye from The Netherlands, N. Gopala Krishna from India and Rowena Martinez from Turkey.
The chairperson of the jury for the Little Directors Competition section will be M. Vedakumar from India. He is the chairman of Children’s Film Society, Andhra Pradesh, Chelimi Foundation, and also Children’s Educational Academy. Other members of the jury are Stephanie Rückoldt from Bogota and Bobbeeta Sharma from India.
