The Highlight of the day was interaction with acclaimed actor Boman Irani and Lifetime Achievement Award Ceremony.

The 6th Edition of Brahmaputra Valley Film Festival 2018 got underway at Pragjyoti ITA Centre in Guwahati on 28th November. The festival will culminate on 1st December. Film Personalities such as Boman Irani, Shakun Batra, Shanaab Alam, Ronnie Lahiri and many others will take part in the 4 day festival. The schedule includes film screenings, interactive sessions, panel discussions, film quiz and more. BVFF is an initiative by Tatva Creations, supported by Indian Oil Limited.

A Panel Discussion at the Festival

The second day of the festival began with film screenings that were shortlisted from the
submissions of short film contest. The day witnessed screening of What Will People Say
directed by Iram Haq, Devil directed by Kshitij Sharma, Nani Teri Morni directed by
Akashaditya Lama and Ralang Road directed by Karma Takapa. A panel discussion was held
with Bollywood producers Ronnie Lahiri and Shahnaab Alam. A special discussion was held
with Film and theatre actor, Boman Irani. Known for movies like 3 idiots, Main Hoon Na,
Lage Raho Munna Bhai, Dostana, Housefull 2, Mr Irani interacted with the audience.

The day concluded concluded with Assamese film director Pulak Gogoi being conferred the Lifetime Achievement award by Boman Irani, Festival Director Tanushree Hazarika along with organizing team members Samujjal Kashyap and Pallavi Barua.

Over the 4 days of the festival acclaimed films such as Rockumentary: Evolution of Indian
Rock, Chor (The Bicycle), Endharor Bheta Bhangi…(Breaking the Cocoon), Do Cup Chai, Adi-
At The Confl uence, The Lost Idea, IYE : The Others will be screened. Anupam Kaushik Borah’s
Assamese film Bornodi Bhotiai will be the closing film of the festival.
