Day 3 at 6th Brahmaputra Valley Film Festival 2018
The 6th Edition of Brahmaputra Valley Film Festival 2018 got underway at Pragjyoti ITA Centre in Guwahati on 28th November and concluded on 1st December. The third day of 6th Brahmaputra Valley Film Festival 2018 begun with Film Quiz by Quiz Master Kunal Savarkar which was open to all. Rest of the day witnessed screening of Rockumentary- Evolution of Rock In India which saw the India premier at the festival, directed by Abhimanyu Kukreja and The Bicycle directed by Khanjan Kishore Nath. A panel discussion was held with Samujjal Kashyap, Meena Longjam, Pallavi Barua and Tanushree Hazarika on filmmaking in the Northeast.
Also a discussion on Short Films and Film Screenings was moderated by Bhaskar Hazarika. He is the Director of National Award Winner Film Kothanodi. An interactive session was held with Shakun Batra who is an Indian film director and screenwriter and is the man behind the movies such as Kapoor and Sons, Ek Main Aur Ekk Tu etc. He also worked as an assistant director on Excel Entertainment films like Jaane Tu… Ya Jaane Na (2008), Rock On etc. Mrs Juhi Saboo, Entrepreneur was the moderator for this discussion.
Assamese film director Pulak Gogoi was conferred the Lifetime Achievement award by
Boman Irani yesterday at the festival. The last day of the festival will screen acclaimed films
such Endharor Bheta Bhangi…(Breaking the Cocoon), Do Cup Chai, Adi- At The Confluence,
The Lost Idea, IYE : The Others. Anupam Kaushik Borah’s Assamese film Bornodi Bhotiai will
be the closing film of the festival.
