Oscar winner A.R. Rahman is all set to debut as a film producer. The music maestro’s Y.M. Movies has joined hands with BSE-listed Eros International Media to produce a Hindi feature film.

“For the first time Rahman has conceived the movie and written the basic story with the help of international and local talent. It is a young, sensual movie based on love, art and self-discovery,” Eros International said in a press statement.

“It is a 16-year relation with Eros and this time it’s extending the role a bit more,” said the Music Mastero in the press release.
Eros International’s shares closed at Rs 128.55, up by 4.5 % while the benchmark Sensex was higher by 1.49 % to 19,229.84 points. The film will go on floors this year. The director and the cast are yet to be finalized.
