A Slovakian film by a differently abled filmmaker screened at IFFPwD
An award winning Slovakian film, Predators of Transylvania, by a differently abled filmmaker Júlia Koleňáková is screened in the short film competition section in the 1st International Film Festival for the Persons with Disabilities (IFFPwD) 2015 is held from December 1-3 2015 at Siri Fort, Delhi.
The delightful 7-minute animation film is directed by Júlia Koleňáková, who is deaf, and music is given by Ondrej Rosik, who is blind.
Starring Marek Suchitra, Mária Bernáthová, Karol Trnka, Karol Trnka it’s a ferocious wolf is chasing two kids in a scary forest. They climb a tree to escape its sharp fangs. But the first rays of the sun reveal the truth to be something different than the seemingly obvious.
The Department of Empowerment of Persons with Disabilities (DEPwD), Ministry of Social Justice and Empowerment, Government of India has collaborated with National Film Development Corporation (NFDC) to organize 1st IFFPwD, a unique three-days film festival for persons with disabilities which will conclude on December 3rd which is also observed as the International day of Persons with Disabilities.
