Ajay Devgn announced his maiden Marathi production venture- Aapla Manus. He took to Twitter and announced the Marathi project. Directed by Satish Rajwade, the film stars Nana Patekar, Iravati Harshe and Sumeet Raghavan and will be released on February 9, 2018.
“I have completed 25 years in the film industry. Every time I have done a new film and a new character but the relationship with you all is still the same. Similarly, I have a relation with Maharashtra since my birth. I have always had respect for Marathi language but after marrying Kajol, I got in love with the language. Because of this culture, Marathi cinema has its own following. To join this industry, I am coming up with my first Marathi film Aapla Manus,” Ajay said in a video that he posted on Twitter on Sunday.
Devgn’s upcoming films include a Hindi-language biopic of Tanaji Malusare, the seventeenth-century warrior who is said to have won the Battle of Sinhagad in 1670 by scaling an impregnable fort with the help of his pet monitor lizard. Devgn is also producing the television biopic Swami Ramdev: Ek Sangharsh for the Discovery Jeet channel, starring Naman Jain in the role of the young Ramdev. He will also appear in Raid and Total Dhamaal, which are set to hit the screens in 2018.
