About Shweta Chanda

Born in Mumbai, Shweta Chanda graduated from S.I.E.S College of Arts, Science and Commerce with a Major in Advertising. After working as a production assistant at Crest Animation Studios she freelanced in production on commercials and music videos for a year. Following that she joined the New York Film Academy in Los Angeles to pursue a Masters in Fine Arts with a focus in Cinematography. While in LA she worked as a Camera Assistant and Cinematographer on numerous productions. She also interned at Shadow Machine Films in the lighting department for the hit TV show, Robot Chicken. After returning to India she worked on Sanjay Leela Bansali's film, Guzaarish, and assisted Cinematographers like Tassaduq Hussain, Sejal Shah and Laxman Utekar. Currently she works as a Freelance Cinematographer and has several shorts and 3 feature films to her credit. Living in Mumbai, Shweta continues pursuing her craft with passion.
