Indian shorts enter Romania International Film Festival
Romania International Film Festival will screen two Indian short films in its 9th edition. The film festival started on September 30 and will conclude on October 6, 2013. Allah Is Great by Andrea Inetta and It Happens ( Aisa Hota Hai) by Aashish Dubey are the two films that have been shortlisted.
Aisa Hota Hai is about the competition of survival shown through the lives of five individuals in 13 minutes. The film will compete in the Underground section of the film festival. Other than Romania International Film Festival the film was also screened at Fribourg, Indian Film Festival Stuttgart, New Jersey Independent South Asian Cinefest and SIGNS Film Festival, Kerala.
The other film titled Allah Is Great by Andrea Itteta recounts the havoc which occurs when two individuals who come from opposite backgrounds meet. In this film a Danish engineer Frank Asmas meets Salim who is a taxi driver and it causes mayhem. Andrea Itteta is a student of Film and Television Institute of India. This film also got a special mention at the 60th National Film Awards, it won the Student Jury Award under short film competition at Krakow Film Festival and also competed at the Gulf Film Festival 2013.
