Director Sujoy Ghosh reunites with powerhouse performer Vidya Balan, yet again for the sequel of the 2012 suspense thriller drama.
The first look of the sequel of the suspense thriller drama, Kahaani 2: Durga Rani Singh is out and it seems no less power-packed than its predecessor. According to the newly released teaser of the movie, versatile actress Vidya Balan seems to be playing 36 year old Durga Rani Singh who is shown as a “wanted criminal” charged of kidnap and murder.
Vidya’s new look is a complete contrast to the one in the prequel Kahaani, where she was seen playing a pregnant woman. Her new look creates a buzz and would surely leave people curious about this movie. Like the prequel, she is now expected to create magic on screen yet again!
Being co-produced and directed by Sujoy Ghosh, Kahaani 2 also stars Arjun Rampal in a pivotal role. The first installment – Kahaani not only set new benchmarks for suspense thrillers in Hindi cinema but also established Vidya as top Bollywood actress.
The movie was earlier scheduled to release on November 25th this year, but the producer Jayantilal Gada of Pen India, decided to shift its date to December 2nd to avoid a clash at the box office with Gauri Shinde’s Dear Zindagi.
