Karan Johar confirms Student of the Year sequel

Karan Johar’s last directorial venture ‘Student Of The Year’ was declared a box-office hit and received a good response from the audience.
KJo is now planning to convert it into a franchise and has also stated that he will launch new talents with every edition of the franchise. He has confirmed a sequel to the youth blockbuster.
He said on Twitter today, “For all those asking, definitely planning #SOTY2, Dharma plans to make it a franchise and launch new talent with it each time”
It is not yet known whether the three stars – Sidharth Malhotra, Varun Dhawan and Alia Bhatt – associated with the first film will be part of the sequel. Dharma Productions will use the ‘Student Of The Year’ franchise as a platform for newcomers in the industry.
