Karan Johar starts shooting Bombay Talkies

Filmmaker Karan Johar has started the shooting for his segment in ‘Bombay Talkies’, a bouquet of four stories directed by four different directors.
For Karan’s segment, it is being said that the director will be telling the story of a filmmaker who sells love through cinema starring Rani Mukerji, Randeep Hooda and Saqib Siddique in pivotal roles.
Set in the realistic backdrop of Mumbai the film commences shooting today in real locations. Karan Johar known for shooting abroad gets into the streets and real location with this film.
While Karan and Rani come together after a long gap, he would be directing Randeep Hooda for the first time.
Zoya Akhtar, Dibakar Banerjee and Anurag Kashyap are also contributing to ‘Bombay Talkies’, an ode to 100 years of the Indian film industry. Zoya has worked with Katrina Kaif in her 20-minute feature while Anurag Kashyap teams up with Amitabh Bachchan. Dibakar Banerjee will apparently be working with Nawazuddin Siddiqui.
Bombay Talkies releases on May 3, a day that marks the film industry’s centenary.
