Although earlier reports suggested that director Shoojit Sircar refused to admit that Leena Maria Paul was a part of his venture Madras Café, rumour mills now suggest the exact opposite. The Executive Producers of the film had even gone to the extent of saying that knowing Leena’s murky past as a fraudulent actress and consequent arrests, she would never be a part of his film. But now the ace film maker has himself confirmed the presence of the controversial actress in his film. He states that her personal life and choices do not come in the way of his film. Madras Café which has an ensemble cast , Leena shall be seen playing 1 of 60 characters.

But the question remains why were the film’s Executive Producer hell bent on refusing to acknowledge Leena’s role in the film?
