Lunchbox wins another award at World Cinema Film Festival
Ritesh Batra’s “Lunchbox” continued its award-winning run in film festivals by nabbing the audience award at the World Cinema Amsterdam Film Festival.
Starring Irrfan Khan, Nimrat Kaur and Nawazuddin Siddiqui, the film had won the viewers choice award at the 66th Cannes International Film Festival’s Critics’ Week segment besides getting rave reviews from critics and international buyers.
At the World Cinema Amsterdam Film Festival, “Lunchbox” was on top of viewers list followed by “Gloria”, “Songs of Redemption”, “Le Passe” and “Het Geheim van Marienburg”.
Batra received an award which consists of 5000 Euros. The film will be released in the Netherlands on December 12.
