California Based Production House – NeuAsia Studios, to Produce Film On Delhi’s Organ Harvesting Racket
The film is currently titled Eastern Crimes and is touted to be a through and through action flick.
NeuAsia Studios announces the launch of a $30 Million film revolving around organ harvesting set in India and US. The plot has an American cop who joins forces with an Indian cop to investigate the disappearance of his niece and its connection to a New Delhi crime syndicate’s global organ harvesting operation. Staying true to the setting, the film will star an Indian actor and an American actor in the lead as cops who are attempting to bust the racket.
The script is written by Mansur Ahmed (Mansur’s recent script “The Treasure of Ali Baba and The 40 Thieves” just got Martin Campbell as Director). The Indian lead is going to be played by ex TV serial actor Rakshak Sahni, who was known for starring in Kavyanjali and Kasauti Zindagi Ki in India.
Rakshak says,” When I first read the script, I found the story to be a mix between Slum Dog millionaire, Lethal Weapon and Taken. I felt a movie like this has never been done before where an American partners up with an Indian to go after the bad guys, this is a groundbreaking role and I knew I had to be a part of it.”
