Sachin: A billion dreams is the title of the film bearing a pretext: “55 Days of training. One pair of trousers. The Sachin Story. The film is expected to hit multiplexes following the scheduling of the MS Dhoni and the Azharuddin biopics. The film is also said to thrust a massive chunk into the personal life of the batting maestro. However, what will be most interesting to watch will be the fact that Sachin Tendulkar will be expected to star in his own film. As reported, the master blaster will play himself in the biopic which is expected to throw light on his cricketing and personal life in detail.

Tendulkar will also act as a set consultant of sorts as the film is said to be released in over 200 multiplexes across the world. A Mumbai-based production company 200 Not Out bagged the rights to make the film from the World Sports Group (WSG) while renowned British director James Eskrine has been roped in to direct the film.

“We decided to work with Erskine after studying his many incredible films involving sports personalities. This will be the first time that he will be working in this part of the world. We will work with the best in the business for the film to be a fitting tribute to the unparalleled achievements of Sachin Tendulkar,” Ravi Bhagchandka, the founder of 200 Not Out, told an English daily.
