Sholay, Deewar re-release on big screen

Zee Classic is re-releasing four evergreen Hindi films Sholay, Karz, Seeta Aur Geeta & Deewar as part of ‘The Classic Cut’ Film Festival in theaters in Mumbai & Delhi. After the success of the first edition of ‘The Classic Cut’ Film Festival that was held in February this year, Zee Classic is back again to carry forward the promise of bringing the magic of the ‘Evergreen Age’ of Hindi Cinema to its audiences beyond the television screen.

Incidentally, Zee Classic is India’s only Hindi movie channel with the largest library of classic films with over 300 exclusive titles from the 1940’s to the 1970’s.

“This is a rare opportunity for all the cinema aficionados to watch cult movies in theaters. The festival will begin in Mumbai and Delhi and will be taken to other towns subsequently,” said Mohan Gopinath, Business Head, Hindi Movie Cluster, ZEEL.

As the first step of its larger endeavor of taking evergreen classics beyond television sets and giving today’s generation a holistic experience of the most significant period in the evolution of Indian Cinema, Zee Classic’s, ‘The Classic Cut’ is a film festival that pays tribute to the greatest films and icons of Indian Cinema.

Tickets will be available free of cost in theaters on first-come-first-served basis.  The festival will be held at PVR theaters in Mumbai and Delhi on the following days:-
