Punjabi actor-singer Ammy Virk is all set to play the character of  Balvinder Singh Sandhu in Kabir Khan‘s ’83’, starring Ranveer Singh as Kapil Dev.

The film tells the story of India’s commendable victory at the 1983 World Cup. Before ’83’, Virk was popularly known for delivering hits such as ‘Qismat’ and ‘Daryaa’ from the film Manmarziyaan.

The makers of the film announced the news by sharing a post on social media on Wednesday. “Punjabi star Ammy Virk is all set to play Balwinder Singh Sandhu, the man who changed the game in the ’83 World Cup final,” read the caption on the post.

’83’ will be directed by Kabir Khan and produced by Reliance Entertainment. The film will hit the screens on March 10, 2020.
