Fox Star Studios, in association with Dharma Productions comes together for Student of the Year 2. After successfully launching the careers of Alia Bhatt, Varun Dhawan & Sidharth Malhotra, Student of the Year is back with its second instalment and Tiger Shroff is the first student to get admission into the franchise.

The film was announced a couple of months back and the makers have shared the first look of the film with the Official poster today. Unlike the first film, the sequel will have only one leading man.

Punit Malhotra, who has previously directed I hate Luv Storys & Gori Tere Pyaar Mein, will direct Tiger Shroff in SOTY 2. Karan Johar who directed the original Student of the Year in 2012, shared the first look of the sequel film on his social media earlier today.

Tiger will be next seen in Baaghi 2, the Rambo remake and the yet-untitled YRF movie with Hrithik Roshan. Student of the Year 2 will give fans a chance to see him in a romantic role as opposed to his action flicks.

Currently shooting Baghi 2, the shoot for Student of the Year 2 will begin early next year. Tiger says this is the only film he has given his dates to currently.

The first film went on to make Rs 70 crore at the box office, with newcomers in the leading roles. We can only imagine how Student of the Year 2 does at the box office, consideringTiger Shroff’s huge fan following.

As far as Tiger’s female co-star in the film is concerned, everyone from Sara Ali Khan to Disha Patani to Ananya Panday have been considered.

The first Student of the Year, celebrated it’s 5 years anniversary on October 20th.
