Talvar and Parched to be premiered at Toronto International Film Festival
The Toronto International Film Festival may be known as the leading public film festival, breaking spectacular films and filmmakers across the globe, at the same time, it gets a number of major premiers, too. As the years show, The film festival crosses more than 300 array of films to be showcased annually with about 60 countries participating, including the best in International cinema.
This year, two Indian movies have been officially selected to be premiered at Toronto International Film Festival. The chosen ones include; Irrfan Khan, Konkona Sen Sharma and Tabu starrer Talvar, based on the Noida double murder case. Produced by Junglee Pictures, Talvar is a mysterious thriller film which is stated to be presented at the Special Presentations Program. The film’s writer and composer Vishal Bhardwaj, lyricist Gulzar and cinematographer Pankaj Kumar, are looking forward to the opening of the film at such a prestigious event.
With Talvar, A Leena Yadav directed and Ajay Devgan produced Indian drama film, Parched has also been selected to be showcased at the Special Presentations section of the 2015 Toronto International Film Festival. Parched starring Radhika Apte is a film documenting the life and times of four ordinary women unapologetically sharing their views about men, sex and relevant issues, residing in the heart of parched rural landscape of Gujrat, India. The star cast Adil Hussain, Surveen Chawla, Tannishtha Chatterjee and Sayani Gupta including the Badlapur actress Radhika Apte are very happy to have the film premier at the Toronto International Film Festival.
It’s prestigious for the two films, Talvar and Parched just to be a part of the festival, as this way the films will be put in front of the top critics.
The Toronto International Film Festival begins on September 10, 2015.
