The 20th Jio MAMI Mumbai Film Festival with Star will take place between October 25 and November 1.

After it’s premiere and success at the prestigious Toronto Film Festival 2018, Vasan Bala’s directorial is all set for its Asia premiere at the 20th Jio MAMI Mumbai Film Festival with Star this October.

“Mard Ko Dard Nahin Hota’ won the Grolsch People’s Choice Midnight Madness Award at TIFF 2018 earlier this year. The film features Gulshan Devaiah, Radhika Madan, Jimit Trivedi and Mahesh Manjrekar. It revolves around the enticing story of ‘a man who feels no pain’.

Here’s a little peek into the film’s premiere at TIFF ’18-

To be sharing his film on his home ground, Vasan Bala is beyond thrilled. This will be his first film to ever be showcased in Asia at the MAMI 20th Edition. Produced by Ronnie Screwwala’s RSVP, ‘Mard Ko Dard Nahin Hota’ will not only be showcased at the festival, it marks the opening of the prestigious film festival.

Creative Director, MAMI Film Festival Smriti Kiran showed support by claiming to have always had faith in Vasan Bala’s work. According to sources, this is what she had to say regarding Bala’s film ; “An Indian filmmaker with a singularly distinct voice will screen his work for the first time in Asia at Jio MAMI with Star. We couldn’t have asked for a better start to this year’s edition.”
