Bollywood actresses are stepping up and are going beyond just mediocre stereotypical acting, lifestyle and fashion association.
The on-screen glamour and behind set skills are all handled by some of the renowned actresses on their own.
Actresses like Priyanka Chopra, Richa Chadha, Sonam Kapoor, Anushka Sharma, Twinkle Khanna, Dia Mirza, Lara Dutta are some actresses who’ve impersonated promising roles and won our hearts and also have now gone behind the camera too to produce great content.

Richa Chadha – Khoon Aali Chithi


Richa Chadha makes her debut as a producer with a Punjabi short film which will soon be released digitally on a major streaming platform.

The Masaan star, produced the film Khoon Aali Chithi. The film is a story of love and peace set amidst the backdrop of Khalistan movement in 80’s and how it affected the common man in Punjab during the era.

It got selected for International Film Festival of South Asia, Toronto.

Priyanka Chopra – Sarvann


Priyanka Chopra who is now marking her presence in Hollywood, and is known for a bunch of things, from philanthropy to Miss World 2000 Pageant.

She even has a film production company established by her mother and herself, called ‘Purple Pebble Pictures’.

She has produced a Marathi film, ‘ Ventilator’ and the second project was ‘Sarvann‘, a Punjabi film which hit theatres a few weeks back.

Anushka Sharma – Phillauri


Anushka Sharma has done a handful of blockbuster films she has acted in, right form the beginning, form Aditya Chopra’s rom-com ‘Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi’ along with Shahrukh Khan.

Her debut as a producer though was in NH10. Her upcoming film ‘Phillauri’ starring along with Diljit Dosanjh is her second outing as the producer of the film too.

Sonam Kapoor’s film ‘Veerey Di Shaadi’ has been produced by her sister, Rhea Kapoor.

However Sonam was in the news recently to co-produce the comedy flick ‘ Battle for Bittora’ which will go on floors this year.

Last November, it was reported that Akshay Kumar and Amitabh Bachchan will be seen on screen in a R Balki directed movie, after 10 years.

Twinkle Khanna, Akshay’s wife is to produce the film with her production house launch – Mrs Funnybones Movies. The film also has Sonam Kapoor and Radhika Apte. She has co-produced 14 films under various banners like Bazmee’s ‘Singh is King’ , Tinu Desai’s , ‘Rustom’ to name some.
