Bioscope, which is the first Marathi film to incorporate four short films into a full length feature, will be the opening film at the 13th Asian Film Festival which will take place from January 1-8, 2015.

The four shorts in Bioscope which are directed by Ravi Jadhav, Gajjendra Ahirey, Girish Mohite and Viju Mane are based on four poems by well-known poets.

Gajendra Ahire’s Dil-e-Nadaaan is based on Mirza Galib’s ghazal Dil-E-Nadaan which has Neena Kulkarni and Suhas Palshikar.

Ravi Jadhav’s Mitra is based on poet Sandeep Khare’s poem which is close to Vijay Tendulkar’s story Mitra Chi Goshta which has Veena Jamkar and Mrunmayee Deshpande in lead.

Girish Mohite’s Baiil is based on poet Lokanath Yashwant’s poem by the same name and has Mangesh Desai and Smita Tambe in lead.

Viju Mane’s Ek Hota Kau is based on poet Kishore Kadam’s poem by the same name and has Spruha Joshi and Kushal Badrike in lead.
