The 57th edition of DOK Leipzig, the International Leipzig Festival for Documentary and Animation Film, is calling for entries. The festival will be held from October 27 – November 2, 2014.

Films that have been completed before May 1, 2014, need to be submitted by May 30, 2014. Films that have been completed later than that date need to be submitted to the Festival office by July 10, 2014.

The Festival programme comprises of: International Competition Animated Film, International Competition Documentary Film, Young Cinema Competition, German Competition Documentary Film, International Short Documentary Competition (up to 40 minutes) and and International Programmes Documentary and Animated Film.

The Official Selection of 2014 is open for animated films up to 40 minutes‘ length, documentary films of any length and animadoc films of any length. Films produced in 2013and 2014 are only eligible for submission.

There is an entry fee of Euro 35 for submission. Film submitted by film schools or that originate from an educational background are exempt from the fee (after consulting the programme department, proof required).
