Inaugural ceremony of the 10th Chennai International Film Festival.

The Chennai International Film Festival is inviting entries for its 11th edition. The festival will be held from 12th to 19th December. The last date for submissions is 30th September 2013.

The festival will screen films under sections including Competition for Tamil Films, World Cinema, Indian Panorama, Country Focus and Retrospective. Trophies and cash prizes will be given for the Best Feature Film, Second Best Feature Film, Best Director and Special jury award for individual excellence in competition for Tamil films. They  also have a special award for the passionate film buff. This is a web based award given to the person who watches the maximum number of films at CIFF and gives his own personalized account of the films watched, not exceeding 100 words.

The Chennai International Film Festival (CIFF) is in the city of Chennai, by the Indo Cine Appreciation Foundation (ICAF), with the support of the government of Tamil Nadu, the South Indian Film Chamber of Commerce and the Film Federation of India

The 10th edition of the Chennai International Film Festival was held from 13th to 20th December and featured close to 160 films from over 57 countries.
