Back in 2008, filmmaker Dakxin Chhara set out with a camera to capture the devastating scene of the series of 21 bomb blasts that had shaken the city of Ahmedabad. That particular incident and meeting the victims made him take the decision to bring this important story on screen.

Talking about the journey of the film from New York International Film Festival to its upcoming release in India, Dakxin says “ Sameer is a powerful story about the brutal reality of our times, a gripping tale of how terror can take over the lives of ordinary citizens. We are thrilled to kick off our campaign with this trailer and can’t wait to see the audience reactions!”

Excited about the launch of the trailer, the lead actor of the mystery-thriller, Zeeshan Ayyub, says “This film is very close to my heart, as I have loved working with this entire team. Dakxin has taken a serious issue of our times and told it beautifully and powerfully onscreen. Moreover, it was very challenging to get under the skin of this character as he is in a very vulnerable spot, but at the same time we do not lose sight of his humanity. I am very hopeful that the audience will appreciate our efforts in telling this important story.”
