Gulzar’s Libaas to finally release after 29 years
It was indeed a memorable 83rd birthday for maestro Gulzar saab with the announcement of his film Libaas finally getting a theatrical release. The film, which was made 29 years ago, will be released by Zee Classic.
Libaas is based on Gulzar’s short story Seema and revolves around theatre director Sudhir and his actor wife Seema whose lives appears picture perfect but appearances can often be deceptive in the world of showbiz.
The film features a stellar cast comprising noted actors like Naseeruddin Shah, Shabana Azmi, Raj Babbar, Sushma Seth, Utpal Dutt, Annu Kapoor and Savita Bajaj.
The music of the film was composed by the legendary R D Burman while the late Vikas Mohan was the producer.
