Aijaz Khan's Hamid shortlisted for the Oxfam Best Film on Gender Equality at MAMI 2018.

The official trailer of Hamid is out. The film is based on unstabilised Kashmir issues.

Directed by Aijaz Khan, it revolves around an eight-year-old boy whose father goes missing. While her mother convinces him that his father has gone to God( Allah). Hamid finds out that 786 is God’s number and decides to try and reach out to God, by dialling this number. He wants to talk to his father, who his mother tells him has gone to Allah.

After much effort one day the phone call is answered. Hamid, who has a lot of questions for God, is excited about the result. Can his God send his father back to his son is the real question.

The film stars Talha Arshad Reshi, Vikas Kumar, Rasika Dugal and Sumit Kaul. The film has been shortlisted for the Oxfam Best Film on Gender Equality at MAMI 2018 and will have its global premiere at the Jio MAMI 20th Mumbai Film Festival With Star.
