Vikram Phadnis’ Hrudayantar has risen above expectations of the audiences and the critics with its unbelievable success at the box office in just a week.

With brilliant performances by Mukta Barve, Subodh Bhave and Sonali Khare, the film that released on July 7 has set a new benchmark in Marathi cinema. The emotional drama will also be premiering at the Indian Film Festival of Melbourne (2017) in August. To add to that, Phadnis’s debut film has also been officially selected for the Vancouver International South Asian Film Festival.

Sharing his thoughts on representing Indian cinema at international film festivals Vikram says, “I’m overwhelmed with the response Hrudayantar has received. It has been officially selected at the Melbourne film festival and now at the 7th Edition of the Vancouver International South Asian Film Festival. I don’t know whether I was prepared for this. I knew Hrudayantar would touch a chord in people’s life and would be well accepted.”

“The entire team including Subodh Bhave, Mukta Barve, Sonali Khare, Amit Khedekar, my two little girls, my music director, everybody is shocked with the kind of response the film is garnering and the kind of appreciation people have given it. I feel Hrudayantar is blessed to receive two film festival selections in the first week of its release,” adds Vikram.
