He is the man who has brought to life renowned filmmaker S.S.Rajamouli’s vision in several films and they share a successful association that has resulted in numerous hit films.

The talented cinematographer has several accolades to his credit including Filmfare Award for Best Cinematographer – South for Maghadeera and the SIIMA Award for Best Cinematographer for Eega.

Talking about the Ravi K Potdar Award, Senthil Kumar said, “This award is given by a French Company for our contribution towards Indian cinema. People like Govind Nihalani and R.M.Rao Sir have been previous recipients of the award and they are legends in their own way. Being chosen on the same platform as them makes me very proud. Also it’s an award that is selected by a committee comprising a completely technical crew. It’s a great honor when a crew that understands the techniques involved in the craft of cinematography selects you and recognizes your work and contribution towards Indian cinema. It makes it all the more special. “
