London Indian Film Festival is a film festival established in 2010 to showcase Indian independent film, is branching out to Birmingham this year. Europe’s largest South Asian Film Festival, London Indian Film Festival (LIFF), returns to the capital in July 2014 for its fifth edition, bringing the best of Indian independent cinema. It has built on previous years successes and expanded to venues across the capital, including BFI Southbank, ICA, BAFTA, Cineworld Cinemas: Haymarket, Trocadero, Wandsworth, The O2 Greenwich, Wembley and Wood Green.

Awards given at the festival include a short film competition award and an Audience Prize, which are the Satyajit Ray Short Film Award and the Lebara Play Audience Award for Best Feature.

 

Titled sponsored by the Bagri Foundation, this festival is now Europe’s largest platform for Indian and South Asian independent cinema.2016 sees the second year of the Bagri Foundation supporting the London Indian Film Festival. They are particularly proud to sponsor the Satyajit Ray Short Film Competition again this year, which gives a wonderful platform for young filmmakers to showcase their artistic talents and cinematic vision.
