The Marathi film industry is now all set to come up with a movie that is almost entirely being crafted by Bollywood technicians. By the looks of it, seems like the industry just cannot get enough of the creative class of Bollywood.
Titled Surya, the film is being directed by Hasnain Hyderabadwala, whose last Hindi film, Ya Rab, released earlier this year. Before coming into his own as a director, Hasnain worked as an assistant director for films like Raja Hindustani and Dhadkan.

Surya is my Marathi directorial debut. Having been born and brought up in Maharashtra, I always wanted to direct a Marathi film. The reason behind roping in so many artists and technicians from Bollywood is that I have seen their work closely and share a personal rapport with them. Also, the film required a particular finesse which sometimes is seen lacking in Marathi films,”  said Hasnain.

Among the many Bollywood technicians working in the film, is cameraman Madhu Rao who has worked on projects such as Page 3 and Satta. Abbas Ali Moghul, who has been the stunts and action director for movies like Agneepath, Talaash and Halla Bol, is taken on board as action director. Choreographer Ganesh Acharya has also been signed on for the dancing bit, who, other than the regular songs in the film, will also be directing an item song featuring Bollywood item girl Heena Panchal.
Singers Sukhwinder Singh and Raja Hassan will lend the vocals and the post production work will be handled by Bollywood technicians. Apart from this, the film will see 80s actor Hemant Birje, known best for his role as Tarzan, and actor Akhilendra Mishra make their acting debut in Marathi. Bollywood baddie, actor Ganesh Yadav, also has an important role in the film.

The film also has Marathi actors Arun Nalawade, Makrand Anaspure, Prasad Thange, Uday Tikekar and Ruchita Jadav in prominent roles.
