Mukti Bhawan is the film that everyone is talking about. With two National awards and a staggering word-of-mouth appreciation for the film, the film has been receiving standing ovations across the country. The trade figures have shown a huge leap from the first day of release. What started off at 2,177,832.94/- on the day of release, more than doubled with  5,380,133.58/- on April 8, further growing to a good 6,369,323.45/- on April 9. The country wide collection has grown to a grand total of 13,927,289.97/- over the weekend.

“The film was widely appreciated internationally and I was curious to see how it has been taken up by the Indian audience; the kind of acceptance and love that we have received is heartening. People I don’t know are walking upto me and saying they heard I am associated with the film and really want to say how much they liked it. Shubhi (Shubhashish Bhutiani) has been inundated with calls, everyone wants to speak to him and give their own take of the film. It is beautiful,” stated Sanjay Bhutiani the producer of the film.

“Given the figures that I am getting, the word of the mouth has really upped the scale, I for one am not complaining,” cheered Bhutiani.
