NFDC Film Bazaar extends deadline for submission of applications in Co-Production market till August 20, 2015. In its ninth year Film Bazaar invites applications from filmmakers with South Asian stories to pitch their projects to producers from across the world at the Co-Production Market 2015.

20 South Asian stories will be selected this year. Projects get to pitch their film to the Indian and international film community that attends Film Bazaar with a focus on fiction features.

Starting this year the program has gained added leverage with the inclusion of an open pitching forum. This activity has been introduced based on industry feedback with the intention that filmmakers should not be required to make multiple pitches during meetings.

The forum will be organised a day prior to the start of the Co-production Market and will allow selected participants to pitch their projects to noted industry professionals attending the market. This enables participants to use time effectively during one on one meetings as discussions can then be focused on project specific needs and negotiations.

The parameters for selection include originality of story, distribution and sales scope and potential for co-production. Program structure allows filmmakers numerous avenues to connect with Indian and international producers/distributors active in the field of co-production.
