Actor – Comedian Vir Das is all set to write and produce a new series with filmmaker Nikkhil Advani.

While Das is passionate about acting and his stand-up comedy, not many now that he has a natural flair for writing. He has been penning down his scripts for the tour and is currently making waves internationally by becoming the first Indian comedian to tour the world.

Now he is all set to collaborate with Nikkhil Advani for a new show, which is a dark comedy to be set in Mumbai with a hint of thrill to it. The show being in the mystery genre, not much of the concept is known but Vir is all set to essay the lead in the show. The show will be produced by Weirdass Comedy and Emmay Entertainment. It’s a dark comedy, but will also show a very real, gritty world. Currently Vir and Nikhil’s team are working on the script and the shooting for the series will start this September.

Speaking about it, Vir said, “I had developed a concept and worked around the script. And it was something I wanted to work with someone who would understand the content of it and thus the idea to work with Nikkhil came about. When I told him about it, he was indeed excited and it was an instant collaboration. It’s a dark comedy. Having a certain element of thrill we can’t reveal the concept per say. We intend to have it as a 10 part series”.
