Golmaal Again team  kickstars the Jio MAMI Movie Mela with four times the fun

The Jio MAMI 19th  Mumbai Film Festival with Star opens the ultimate fan experience, the 3rd edition of Movie Mela with the powerhouse director Rohit Shetty and his gang of Golmaal Again at the Tulip Star, Juhu.

The first panel witnessed Director Rohit Shetty with the entire cast of Golmaal Again – Ajay Devgn, Arshad Warsi, Tusshar Kapoor, Shreyas Talpade, Kunal Khemu and Parineeti Chopra , in conversation with Anupama Chopra and Rajeev Masand unveiling how the country’s biggest comedy franchise was created. One of the biggest things going for the film series has been the chemistry between the actors. The director and cast took us behind the scenes sharing the journey that Golmaal has been. 

The film which has 19 principle characters has been the nation’s favourite comedy franchise over the years. The secret ingredient behind the success of the Golmaal series as mentioned by the team is the unique bond that the leads share over the tenure of shoot is what keeps the connect with the audience alive.

On being asked about what motivated Rohit Shetty to make sequels building a mega franchise, he said “It was not planned or deliberate. It connected with the audience, especially the characters and the moments of the film. These were the things that remained with the audience after having watched the film.”

 Ajay Devgn shared his experiences on being associated with this project from the beginning . He said “It makes me feel confident. I know this team will have my back”. 

Parineeti Chopra on being the new member  to the powerhouse team said “I have found friends for life amidst shooting this film. That’s my biggest takeaway. This is such a humble and fun team to work with. I really had fun and I am just enjoying this process”

 An aspiring filmmaker from the audience asked Rohit Shetty as to what does one need to have to be in his team, to which the Golmaal director replied “It’s pure luck!” Shreyas backed him up by saying “It’s complete hardwork! If you are willing to work like the madman that Rohit is, then you can be in his team
