Onir’s Shab closes Indian Film Festival of Melbourne 2017
The Indian Film Festival of Melbourne 2017, which kicked off on August 10 amidst much fanfare and a celebration of ‘Diversity’ as its theme, came to an end after two weeks of films, masterclasses, awards and more.
The festival had opened with Lipstick Under Burkha and closed with Onir’s critically acclaimed romance drama Shab. The film stars versatile actress Raveena Tandon alongwith newcomer Ashish Bisht, Sanjay Suri, Simon Frenay and others.
The film earned rave reviews with Raveena Tandon’s performance being lauded by the audience. The screening of the film was attended by Raveena Tandon, Onir and Mitu Bhowmick Lange, Founder and Curator of IFFM among other dignitaries.
