The makers of 2018’s first entertainer- Mukkabaaz have unveiled the first song ‘Paintra’ from the movie featuring Jimmy Shergill, Ravi Kissan, Vineet Kumar Singh and Zoya Hussain.

Anurag Kashyap is all set to captivate audiences again with his soon to release film Mukkabaaz. The makers released the first song from the film- Paintra on Friday. Written by Vineet Singh, composed by EDM sensation DJ Nucleaya and sung by Mumbai rapper Divine, the song is an engaging blend of EDM and Hip-Hop.

Anurag Kashyap calls the film ‘a contemporary socio-political love story’. Starring Vineet Kumar Singh, Zoya Hussain and Jimmy Shergill in lead roles, the film also stars Ravi Kishan in a pivotal role. Mukkabaaz recently had its Asia premiere at the Jio MAMI 2017, where it garnered much appreciation and love. The sports drama also screened in the Special Presentations’ section at the Toronto International Film Festival.

The song cum trailer launches the film in an exciting and fresh manner. Anurag Kashyap is known to change the way things work in Indian films and introducing the Mukkabaaz to audiences with this song, is just another addition to his unique style.

Nucleya who is known for combining EDM along with traditional Indian musical instruments and ambient sounds, surprises listeners with his keen sense to blend different genres, with this track. He is an ardent fan of Anurag’s films. It is learnt that he and the filmmaker met at the latter’s house and decided to work together. Anurag said, “Nucleya recorded a song with the rapper and I loved it. Everything we had tried before that hadn’t worked out.” Nucleya adds, “Anurag was really precise in his brief for the song. It’s a Hindi rap number with bass-heavy elements, which is kind of my signature.”

Filmmakers Anand L. Rai and Anurag Kashyap have collaborated for the first time ever with this film that is presented by Eros International, Colour Yellow Productions and Phantom Films. The film will hit the screens on January 12, 2018.
