The Indian Panorama section of 46th International Film Festival of India (IFFI 2015) will have a stellar lineup of the best of Indian cinema from various parts of the country. The film festival will showcase 26 Feature and 21 Non-Feature films that raise a toast to the work of many talented Indian filmmakers.

The Feature Films Jury, led by ace Filmmaker Aribam Syam Sharma, comprising of 13 Jury members have selected 26 Feature Films out of 230 eligible entries. The total number of films received was 238 films. The jury took 28 days to select this line up. The Jury of the Non-Feature Films, headed by the renowned Filmmaker Rajendra Janglay has selected 21 films out of 146 Entries, taking 13 days to finalise the list.

The final list of selected films under the Feature category of Indian Panorama contains 7 Bengali, 1 Bodo (Assam), 5 Hindi, 1 Kannada, 1 Konkani, 4 Malayalam, 4 Marathi, 1 Sanskrit, 1 Tamil, 1 Wancho (Arunachal Pradesh) films.

Directed by Vinod Mankara, ‘Priyamanasam’ is the only third movie to be made in Sanskrit and is based on one of the greatest poets who lived in Kerala during the late-17th century, Unnayi Warrier. The film talks about the poet and his masterpiece, Nalacharitham Attakadha.

Directed by Buddhadeb Dasgupta, Nawazuddin Siddiqui starrer Anwar Ka Ajab Kissa is the story of a detective called Anwar who suddenly decides to follow himself and not anyone else.

Radiopetti, the first Tamil film to win at the Busan Film Festival. It is the a story of an old man, Arunachalam, who finds solace in his past, especially when listening to musical melodies of his younger days on a vintage radio set that his father gave him.

‘The Head Hunter’ directed by Mumbai-based filmmaker from Assam Nilanjan Datta is the first film in the Wancho language of Arunachal Pradesh. The film revolves around an old man from a forgotten tribe of India, dreaded for its practice of head hunting.
