The Sonapani Film Festival (Autumn) to be held in Uttarakhand  from September 20-23, 2013 midst the scenic beauty of Himalaya with some brilliant films by three talented filmmakers from the country.

Sourav Sarangi is Based in Kolkata, Sourav completed his editing specialization at the FTII, Pune and is editing, writing, directing and producing in both fiction and nonfiction genres. He is considered to be a a wonderful teacher.His films, Tusukatha, Bilal, and Char have been shown  very extensively in international film festivals and have won many awards.He has also served as jury in international film festivals.

Satyajit Pandey (SETU) is a cinematographer par excellence. Trained at the FTII, Pune, his filmography (features) includes Charas, Taare Zameen Par, Vakratunda Swaha,Kahaani and Ghanchakkar. Has shot several documentaries including Jari Mari, Aamkar, The Turtle People, The Great Indian School Show and experimental films with Ashish Avikuntak and Kabir Mohanty.

 

Manjeet Singh went to the New York Film Academy and has now made his first feature film, Mumbai Cha Raja which has been shown in festivals like Toronto, Abu Dhabi and many more. It also won the Special Jury award at the Mumbai Film Festival in 2012.His script has been invited to Cannes in the L’ Atelier section. He is passionate about painting and photography.
