The trailer for 31st October starring Vir Das and Soha Ali Khan is here and by the looks of it, the film appears to be one that has a no-holds-barred approach to communalism and mob violence.

Made under Magical Dreams Productions Pvt Ltd, 31st October is the first mainstream film on the aftermath of Indira Gandhi’s assassination and what it led to. By dramatizing the real life story of a family, the film will take the audience through a nerve racking journey, highlighting what Delhi witnessed that day.

Directed by National Award Winning Director Shivaji Lotan Patel whose 2012 Marathi film Dhag won three National Awards (Best Director, Best Actress, Special Jury Mention), 31st October is an edge of the seat thriller, based on a true-life story of a Sikh family trapped in riot-affected Delhi following the assassination of Indira Gandhi by her Sikh bodyguards on 31st October, 1984, which completely shook the political scenario of the country. Written and produced by Harry Sachdeva, the film stars Soha Ali Khan and Vir Das.
