The 10th edition of the South Asian International Film Festival (SAIFF) is calling for entries. The festival takes place in New York

SAIFF welcomes FEATURE FILM NARRATIVE of every genre, provided that it exemplifies the mission of our festival, which is to present the best new films and filmmakers from South Asia (i.e. India, Pakistan, Bangladesh, Sri Lanka and Nepal) and within the Indian Diaspora. The Festival spotlights local and global stories that reflect the many shades of the South Asian experience.

The SHORT FILM category is one of the hallmarks of SAIFF – we encourage films of every genre to apply for what will be a showcase of diversity, tight storytelling, and rigorous attention to craft.

The DOCUMENTARY category at SAIFF is one of the most prestigious documentary showcases in the world for South Asian related films. With such premieres as Dinner with the President, Flying on One Engine, The Third Wave, and Doormat.

Features, documentaries and shorts can be submitted to the festival by October 4, 2013

The festival also announced the 2012 SAIFF Short Film Competition. Five applicants will be short listed and one winner will get a cash prize sponsored by HBO.
