The 14th New York Indian Film Festival to be held from May 5 – 10, 2014 is calling for entries.

Films that have not been/will not be publicly screened or premiered in New York or the Tri-State Area prior to NYIFF 2014 will be considered.

Films that feature the work of filmmakers, actors, writers, directors of South Asian descent living outside the sub continent are eligible. This may include films made by Non-South Asians that feature significant South Asian content, inspiration, subject matter.

Films whose country of origin lies within the Indian Subcontinent: India, Pakistan, Bangladesh, Sri Lanka, Nepal, Afghanistan, Bhutan can also be submitted.

Submissions are invited for four categories, namely Feature Narrative ( Over 30 mins), Short Narrative (under 30 mins), Feature Documentary (Over 30 mins), Short Documentary (Under 30 mins).

The early-bird deadline for submissions is September 1, 2013, the regular deadline is December 1, 2013 and the late deadline for submitting entries is February 1, 2014.
