Director Ram’s Thanga Meengal has been selected as the only Tamil film among 25 feature films to be screened at the Indian Panorama section of the International Film Festival of India to be held in Goa next month. National Award winner Paan Singh Tomar would be the 26th feature film of the Indian Panorama. There were a total of 210 entries. 16 non-feature films would also be screened out of a total of 130 eligible entries.
Thanga Meengal would also be screened in the non-competitive section (“Children’s World”) at the 18th International Children’s Film Festival India to be held in Hyderabad from the 14th to 20th November 2013.

Thanga Meengal is the only Tamil film among 25 movies selected for screening at the Indian panorama section.

Also I take pleasure in informing you that Thanga Meengal has been selected for screening at the International Children’s Film Festival (The Golden Elephant) to be held later in India. It will screened in Children’s World, a non-competitive section, along with several other classics made in various other countries in the recent past.”
