Having produced acclaimed films like Ankhon Dekhi, Masaan, Dhanak, Waiting, Umrika, Drishyam Films, the new age film studio is now foraying into film distribution with Pawan Kumar’s next, a Kannada thriller, U-Turn.

U-Turn is directed and produced by Pawan Kumar who shot to fame with the much-acclaimed hit film, Lucia. U-turn is the first film produced under his banner ‘Pawan Kumar Studios Pvt Ltd’ and stars Shraddha Srinath, Radhika Chetan, Dilip Raj and Roger Narayanan.

Drishyam Films will be distributing the film across India except Karnataka. The film will release in the rest of the country on the same day the film will hit the screens in Karnataka. It will be played across screens with English subtitles.

Shiladitya Bora, CEO of Drishyam Films, who had previously associated with Pawan on Lucia, is excited about the film’s prospects. “We had been planning to get into distribution for quite some time, and U-Turn seems like the ideal film to kickstart this brand new venture of Drishyam.”

Bora and Kumar have already built a solid collaboration with Lucia, and look set to replicate its success with U-Turn.

Delighted about the association, Pawan says, “I have known Shiladitya since my last film LUCIA. We had collaborated on releasing the film across the country in all the major cities. Lucia had become the first Kannada film to achieve that fleet. I am glad that with my third film, we are collaborating again. I have been in awe of the kind of films Drishyam films is making and I feel my film U-Turn is now in safe hands for an all Indian Release.”
