8th March marks a very important day across the world as it celebrates The International Women’s Day. Farhan Akhtar and Farout Media (A Music Innovations, Publishing and Talent Development Company), are all set to release a very special song in collaboration with Music Composer – Kalyan Baruah. The song titled ‘We are all on the Goodside’ is not only a tribute to women but also a dedication to his daughter.

Music is a great way to express support and highlights the important role and contributions women make in our society. This song also celebrates the spirit of being free and brings together the spirit of oneness. The inspiration of writing the song (We are all on the Goodside) came from his daughter Akira’s drawing which had people together on one side of a heart. The same inspiration has been depicted on the songs cover art. (attached). Farhan added “Women’s Day was initiated as a day to focus on the pressing issues that affect half the population of our world. Although each day is an opportunity to deal with these issues, we should use this dedicated day as a milestone to measure how much progress has been made since the previous year. For me, it is an honour to be part of this global movement and to stand shoulder to shoulder with fiercely committed women and men. This year we’re releasing a song with Farout Media, the song “We All Are On The Goodside” that celebrates an equal world for all. The world as a child sees it before the corruption of prejudice and divide based on gender, race or colour, are planted in the mind. A world in which ‘We all are on the GoodSide.’

Over the years, multi-faceted Farhan Akhtar has impressed us with his multiple skills; his personality as a musician is a craze among youngsters who eagerly await his Live Music Performances through ‘Farhan Live’. He continues to enamour us with his acting prowess, spectacular direction, brilliance in lyrical works and continues to enthral the audiences with his passion towards music.

Farhan is dedicated towards raising Women Empowerement Issues and makes signinificant contributions through his MARD (Men Against Rape and Discrimination : www.therealmard.org) and is a Male Ambassador for UN Women in South Asia. His unique approach is to communicate this messaging through creative musical works and effectively interact through his live performances in the schools, colleges and youth festivals.

Recently for Women’s Day 2016, Farhan’s Music venture Farout Media brought together Film Star and Musician Shruti Hassan to collaborate with Music Industry biggies Ehsaan and Loy for a song called ‘My Day in The Sun’.

Farhan’s Women’s Day Song ‘We are all on the Goodside’ will be released on 8th March 2016 and will be available across music services.
