India made eligible for Doha Film Institute Grants
Doha Film Institute has declared to open its Grants for several countries across the world for the first time and the list includes India as well.
The next round of submissions will be open from July 15 to August 14, 2013. In 2014, submissions round will be open from April 1-30.
Production and post-production funding is available for feature-length narrative films (70 minutes or longer). Documentary projects are eligible by invitation only.Although, Short films are not eligible for funding neither is development funding available.
To be eligible for application, a producer and production company must be attached to the project. The project should be director’s first or second feature-length film.
The available grants are as such:
Feature Films – 70 minutes and longer
Narrative
Production: $50,000 to $100,000
Post-Production: $30,000 to $75,000
Documentary (By Invitation Only)
Production: $30,000 to $75,000
Post-Production: $20,000 to $50,000
