The 8th edition of the Jaipur International Film festival (JIFF) starts from the 2nd of January to achieve the honor of being the first event on the global Festival circuit. Professionals from all over the globe will join the local audience of the Pink City to watch about 152 wide varieties of films ranging from features to animation films.

Screenings of the Festival films have been arranged at three locations – The Golecha at Chaura Rastaa, Manipal University Campus Auditorium at Ajmer Road and Rajasthan Praudh Shikshan Samiti Auditorium at Jahalna Institutional Area.

Four feature films from Iran will be showcased at the event including ‘Until Ahmad Returns’ (Sadegh Daghighi), ‘A Baby with Red Socks’ (Khodadad Jalili), ‘Track 143’ (Narges Abyar) and ‘Oblivion Season’ (Abbas Rafei); as well as two short films including ‘The Room’ (Benyamin Haftlang) and ‘Confined Space’ (Siamak Ahmadi). In the animation section, Iran is participating with two titiles including ‘What is Your Talent’ by Barzan Rostami and ‘The Sound of the Road’ by Barzan Rostami.

Besides the screenings of the films seminars and workshops would also be held at these venues.
