‘A Little Poland in India’ opens the First KINOTEKA Polish Film Festival in India
The first ever KINOTEKA Polish Film Festival has been organized in India with the aim of bringing acclaimed Polish movies to Indian audiences. This first edition of the Festival, to be held from 18 November till 3rd December, kicked off in New Delhi with the screening of Indo-Polish production film A Little Poland in India, which explores the historic ties that bind India and Poland. The festival, conceptualized and brought by Polish Institute, boasts of the best of Polish International Cinema, including award-winning films from Poland’s great auteurs to cutting edge, exciting work from a new generation of Polish film-making talent.
Apart from acclaimed classics, the Polish Institute also presents Polish legend Andrzej Wajda’s newest release Walesa. Man of Hope. “The Polish Institute in New Delhi is proud to bring forth the inaugural KINOTEKA Polish Film Festival in India with the aim of showcasing some of the celebrated Polish movies to Indians. One of the highlights of this year is the newest release and Oscar contender film of Polish legend Andrzej Wajda, Walesa. Man of Hope. Another timeless classic and one of the best films of Andrezj The Promised Land will also be screened at the festival.”, says Ms. Anna Tryc-Bromley, Director, Polish Institute, New Delhi.
